From the Artist: My husband and I rode our bikes up Marjan Hill, and couldn’t believe the breathtaking view of the city. I have never been to a place with such overwhelming hospitality. I wanted to capture that beauty in paint. I hope when you look at my work, you see even a glimpse of the beauty that encompasses the city of Split and all of Croatia.

This original painting depicts town Split; Croatia’s second largest city. Split is one of the Adriatic’s most vibrant port cities, stunningly located between mountains and sea. As the economic and cultural center of the Dalmatian coast, Split is bustling with islanders who flock into the city to work even as ferries whisk tourists out to the islands.
